The focus of the Nguyen Clinical and Outcomes Research Group is to study outcomes of vascular intervention and predictors of treatment success, to investigate socioeconomic disparities in surgical care, and to analyze the cost-effectiveness of vascular devices and other technological innovations. We employ advanced techniques in econometrics and health services research to address current problems in vascular care and the healthcare system as a whole.

Dr. Nguyen is also active in research training and mentorship, and in addition to grant-supported research, his clinical research group administers a broad portfolio of industry trials. He is also Associate Director of the BWH Center for Surgery and Public Health, which is a consortium of clinical scientists gathered to address unique health services research questions in many aspects of surgical care.
