Clinical Research

The Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery maintains a robust portfolio of clinical research projects. The Division has also invested in an extensive, real-time patient database that has been entering patient data since 1976. Infrastructure (both human and physical resources) is in place for investigator-initiated and industry sponsored trials, largely centered on the large vascular patient volume of the Carl J. and Ruth Shapiro Cardiovascular Center of the Brigham and Women's Hospital. Finally, the Vascular Surgery team also participates in clinical research directed by colleagues in Cardiology and Vascular Medicine.
